Partners was chosen to provide bilingual media relations counsel and services in Atlantic Canada for three general elections and other projects, including media training; daily interviews (for Election 2006, more than 400 interviews to print and electronic media); writing and distribution of news releases; reports and analysis. |

The Chester Clipper / Business Plan and Set-up
Partners was hired to prepare a business plan for a weekly community newspaper; to provide full editorial and advertising sales services, staffing and management for initial months of operations; and then coordinate the turnover to new management and staff. |

Transportation Safety Board / Swissair 111 Crash Investigation Media and Family Communications
Partners was contracted to provide on-site communications counsel and support for the Transportation Safety Board of Canada during its investigation into the crash of Swissair Flight 111 off the shores of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia - the largest, most complex and highest-profile airline crash investigation ever to take place on Canadian territory. In partnership with Compass Communications, Partners provided communications counsel to the Board's communications department, investigators and senior Board officials. We compiled a media database, and maintained ongoing contact with journalists from around the world; managed and facilitated dozens of international-audience news conferences at various locations in the province; and assisted with the production and international distribution of a video detailing the investigative process to next-of-kin. |

Department of Fisheries and Oceans / Atlantic Fisheries Policy Review Communications counsel and services; Seal Forum Facilitation; Aboriginal Fishery Communications
The department engaged Partners to provide counsel and services for a public consultation and communications program with stakeholders in the Atlantic fishing industry. Partners organized and managed an Eastern Canada media tour for DFO representatives and participated at the subsequent public meetings (5 provinces and Nunavut) to provide communications counsel, on-site support and media relations services.
Partners was chosen as well to facilitate meetings between animal rights groups, seal harvesters,
other proponents of the harvest, and representatives of the department.
After the explosive events at Burnt Church, New Brunswick, DFO engaged Partners to plan and manage communications with communities and media regarding the Aboriginal Fishery in the Maritimes.

Canadian Cancer Society / Branding (The New Look)
As chair of the Canadian Cancer Society national image and profile task force, Nancy led an extensive brand definition process. Over the course of two years, she directed a cross-Canada consultation, planning and testing program that involved hundreds of volunteers, staff and donors. The result was the Society's first comprehensive brand promotion strategy and a new corporate visual identity.
